For sale is a Portuguese issue Luger holster for GNR. This piece is used and shows signs of wear. There is minor green corrosion around some of the metal fasteners. Please see photos for details. It is 12 inches long overall and 6.25 inches at its widest point. There is a small pocket in the interior for a sight tool (not included). There are no visible makers marks but it is unit marked on the back, but the marking is not legible. It has a long narrow pocket on the outside for a cleaning rod (not included). Manufactured by the A. From 1928 to 1932. Style 402, Size 38 long. S ee scans for condition. NOT A MILITARY ITEM, BUT IS EARLY AVIATION ITEM, used by many WW1 aviators when barnstorming. A nice item considering the age, see the description details above – see scans. Great subject matter and eye appeal. Weighs around 11 pounds. Shows some typical wear & discoloration due to age, some staining due to age and use. Overall in nice condition, all is intact — camera doesn’t do justice to the rich leather color. Has the original Talon zippers, all work fine. Includes all the original buttons. Also Includes the original belt and full silk pile lining. Some cracking in leather, especially at the lower sleeves (see close-up scans #11 left sleeve and #12 right sleeve). Leather at bottom of pant legs has cracking also. This vintage leather flight suit was made by A. Aviation Clothing (see intact tag picture inside left chest area), between 1928 and 1932. It has a mouton collar, an offset closure, belted waist, large map pocket with sharply scalloped pocket flap, thigh pockets and a full silk pile lining. It is a size 38, and is their model 402. The suit has the original Talon Fastener Co. The zips are on the sleeves, legs, the chest and on two pass through pockets so the aviator could access his pants pockets. The fly opening is accomplished by a snap on the zipper tape. The large collar has a hook closure at the neck and a three button throat latch under the collar, to really secure it during open cockpit flight. While not his suit, Charles Lindbergh was a prominent endorser of Spaldings flight suits of this era. We strive for 5-star service , even though this is just a hobby for us. WWI-WWII Military Original Cavalry officer sword/sable frog, stamped, and made from saddle leather. Cavalry sword was carried in a hanger attached to horse saddle, but since cavalry sword also belonged to dress uniform of cavalry soldier, they also needed to be carried attached to soldiers belt when needed Can be used for carrying sword attached to belt. One of the straps is a little ripped….. Please see the last picture. A remarkably well preserved piece of WWI / WWII saddlery here, one that I’m sure that would be of interest to cavalry enthusiasts. Vintage Swiss Army pack mule saddle, used but in excellent condition. A great find, these are complete and fully functional, with a steel frame to support a large amount of weight, and thick, full grain rugged leather shell over a canvas padded lining. All canvas and leather tie down strapping included, as well as the belly band and attachment straps. The side frames and top frame are removable. The pads measure 21″x17″x2, each side frame measures approx. 28″x24″, and the total width of side frame to side frame is 51. Great guide/outfitter pack frame made of quality leather and steel….. Gun Model: Springfield 1903 or M1 Garand (later used in WWII). The left ricasso is marked with “S A”, bomb, and “1921”. The right side is marked U. The Scabbard is marked “RIA / 1921″ on the front of the top strap and “RIA”, what appears to be “1909” and T. On the back of the main body. Description: This is a Pattern M1905 that was made in 1921, after WWI, with a 1921 dated Rock Island Armory leather wrapped and leather tipped wood scabbard. The blade measures 15 7/8″ long, OAL is 20 1/2″. Overall Condition: The metal of the bayonet has a blue finish on the blade, the guard, hilt and pommel are parkerized and according to our research, these early items would have been all Parkerized. The blade metal has been refinished, the other surfaces appear original, it was probably done by an arsenal, perhaps for WWII use. The metal shows cleaned erosion and imperfections under the finish, along with a few areas of erosion through the current finish. The blade is semi-sharp but there are no indications that it was sharpened after refinishing; the cutting edge has some waiver in its line. The surfaces show scattered scuff marks and a few infrequent darkened patina areas. The cross guard has scuffs, rub wear and areas of patina. The grips are the correct later semi-grooved type, which show a few light marks. There are no cracks or major damages. The bayonet is in Fine condition. The scabbard is leather wrapped with a brown leather tip and brass hanger, the canvas and leather are roughed and discolored, the material remains strong with small losses, the hanger has natural patina, also found as verdigris on the rivets. The leather is leaching white color, as natural of the fats escaping over time. For its age and role in world history, this lot has survived quite well.
