Romanian Air Force Bravery/Merit Gold Cross with Swords and Case of Issue: bronze gilt, approx. 43mm (width) x 51mm(height) with ribbon and in extremely fine condition. Case interior stamped “Monetaria Nationala” and “Virtutea Aeronautica Crucea de Aur”. No maker mark on badge. Ribbon is period piece that meets black light test (no glow under UV light) but not one usually found with this type award (white gold stripes on either edge). The Order was established in July 1930 by Carol II and awarded to civilian and military air personnel and air cadets. The order was the fourth highest Military Award for Romanian Air Force personnel. It was also awarded to German Luftwaffe officers serving with Romanian Air Force during WW2. The badge is based on the same design as the. Order of Michael the Brave. But with a small shield of the Lesser Coat of Arms in the middle of the badge. AUTHENTIC KINGDOM OF YUGOSLAVIA. M1924 ARTILLERY NCO DAGGER. One of the rarest daggers in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia army arsenal. The dagger was designed and used only by the non commisioned officers of the artillery units from 1924 till 1941. The Yugoslav army had a small artillery force with only about 200 NCO’s on active duty. Hence the small production and rarity of this dagger. According to sources, only about 600 pieces were ever produced. The dagger was manufactured locally, by the Vojno Tehnicki Zavod (war technology institute) in the city of Kragujevac. The grip is from wallnut wood. The guard is brass with serial number “7683” on one side and the letter “C” on the other. The steel blade has one fuller on one side and it is marked “BT3″ in cyrilics, wich is a VTZ – vojno tehnicki zavod – war technology institute. The scabbard is black painted metal.
