Up for sale is a commemorative medal made in commemoration of the United States Naval cruise to Australia, 1925. Description: It is made from gilt bronze, and measures approximately 38mm in diameter. Despite probably meeting the criteria of a so-called dollar, it is unlisted in Hibler-Kappen. The ports of call of the American fleet are listed on the reverse. Note that this is the “curved Australia” variety of the piece. Condition: Graded at MS63 by NGC with somewhat colorfully-toned surfaces on both sides (this isn’t really showing up in the photographs as well as in hand).
