This is a good example of a War-Time Japanese Army Officer’s Shin Gunto Sword. It is mounted with a lovely, unmarked, oil-tempered blade that wears a cutting edge which measures 24 1/4 inches in length. The blade is uncleaned, untouched in its condition with a light surface oxidation now developed which could be cleaned up in the right hands, and does continue to wear it beautiful, wide actively wavy temper line. All the fittings including the wrapping remain very nice and are wonderfully accentuated with fabulous golden civilian lobster menuki on either side. The War-Time wooden scabbard wears a leather combat covering that although is a bit weathered with some of the stitching now loose, does remain in good serviceable condition. This is a very good example of a well made Thai / Siamese Army Officer Dagger. It is mounted with a beautiful plain blade that measures 11 3/16 inches in length which remains in nice condition with only minor surface blemishes. The hilt wears a wonderfully detailed elephant head pommel that frames a samé covered hilt which remains very nice in its condition as well and with its original twisted wire wrap still tightly in place. This is a good example of a Chinese Nationalist Army Dress Dagger. It is mounted with a heavy straight blade that measures 10 1/4 inches in length which is a bit stained but overall remains in good condition. It wears pretty brass fittings which are nicely embossed that accentuate a faux shell hilt. Interestingly, the hilt has been personalized with cut glass stones of which six of the original ten still remain. The metal scabbard also wears pretty detailed brass fittings and although has a few small dings, does remain in good serviceable condition. Overall measuring 15 1/2 inches in length. This is a good example of a Soviet Russian Cossack Shashka Sword P 1927. It is mounted with a slightly curved blade that measures 31 3/4 inches in length which remains in good condition with minor surface staining and continues to wear very nice markings as well as is dated “37”. The hilt has a grooved wooden grip that remains healthy and tight and wears beautiful brass fittings with a pommel which is nicely stamped with the Soviet emblem. The wooden scabbard is brass fitted and although has a little scuffing, does remain in nice serviceable condition and continues to wear its Mosin-Nagant bayonet. This is a nice U. Marines Corps Regulation Sword which dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a beautiful blade that measures 29 3/8 inches in length which remains in nice condition with lovely etching on either side as well as is engraved with the name of the original owner on one side. The gilded brass guard is simple in design and remains in good condition with just some wear to the gold finish and frames nice composite grips that have now richly mellowed with age and remain tightly in place. The metal scabbard wears nicely detailed brass fittings and although now has some light oxidation to the plating, does remain in good serviceable condition with no dings. This is a very nice example of a Japanese Army NCO Sword, Type 95. It wears a brass guard and is mounted with a cast aluminum hilt painted to resemble the Officer’s pattern which continues to wear most of the original paint and does remain in nice, tight condition. The machine made blade measures 26 3/8 inches in length and has survived in very nice condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The MATCHING metal scabbard shows to have been painted brown at some time and is a bit scuffed but does remain in very good serviceable condition as well and has no dings.
