Just one of inkFrog’s. From a recent estate sale is an old photo of the US Navy airship Los Angeles. The photo measures about 10 1/4″ by 6 1/4″ and is marked on the bottom right corner for R. I believe this is at the Naval Air Station in Lakehurst, N. The photo has a stain along the top edge and a small crease adjacent to the stain. There is a small tear along the right edge near the top and another small tear about 1 1/2 from the bottom edge. This small tear has at tiny chip in the image where the tear starts. The bottom right corner has been chipped off. The Los Angeles was in service from about 1924 until 1932 when it was decommissioned. It was broken up in 1939. This is an old photo not a reproduction. Unless otherwise specified my items are preowned and vintage – they are not new. I will describe any damage or problems aside from what would be considered normal wear – but you should expect some wear on them. US Navy Officers Model 1852 Sword & Knot Scabbard Engraved & Name Inscribed. Up for sale is a vintage US Navy Officers Sword & scabbard that has an engraved blade and the officers name inscribed into the blade. The blade is stamped Made in USA but I dont see a makers mark – could be engraved in the blade. The blade width is 3/4 and the fish skin type handle is plastic, and the engraving and condition lead me to believe this was a sword from WWI or WWII. The scabbard is marked in a couple of places 84. The blade measures 28 1/2″ long with total length of sword being 34″. If you have any questions please contact me. The only exception if if the item is oversized or unique and requires specialized packing then I will charge for the box. These charges are the buyers responsibility. This is a 1935 US Navy General Electric Tlechron large ships clock. It measures 10 inches in diameter across the face and 6 inches deep. It is mounted on a piece of wood, has a screw missing, plexiglass face has a coke ring and the plug is cut. Still a very nice old rare Naval clock. I do not know if it works. All our items come from estate sales, yard sales, flea markets or places that we have traveled. All Japanese items come directly from Japan. I lived in Japan for 8 years and collected several nice pieces. Feedback will be left once feedback is received. If you get it dry cleaned or repaired prior to contacting me once. 1932 US Navy USN named numbered Yangtze service medal w/ box & papers. It is in good shape- The number on the medal does match the number on the box #788. US Navy Good Conduct Medal issued to James R. Ross for service on the submarine USS O-14 in 1920. The medal also has bars for the USS Vestal (dated 1922), USS Idaho (1926) and Radio Stations 12. At the top of the ribbon is WWI Victory Medal bar Submarine (official Fulford type). The medal and all four bars were long ago polished and then shellacked. Ross was born in Penrod, Kentucky in 1891 and had two brief USN enlistments between 1910 and 1912. He then reenlisted in 1916 and served continuously until transferred to the Reserves in 1934, as well as being recalled for active duty during WWII. In addition to the O-14, he also served on the submarines N-7 and R-22. Rosss service file notes that he was issued a Victory Medal with Submarine bar in 1921 however his service file doesnt show any sub service during WWI. He also has service on the aircraft carrier USS Langley in 1931 and on the battleship USS West Virginia from 1932 to 1934. All WWII Service was in the USA. With the badge are over 50 pages of documents that were scanned from Rosss service file at the Military Personnel Records Center in St. All of the documents shown are color copies.
