ARTIFACT: This is a rare pair of Willson goggles for the United States Navy from the 1930s. They come in the original rectangular black case, which has a Willson label at one end and also one lining the interior. SIZE: 2-1/16 height and 9-1/4 width and 3-13/16 depth. CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Glass lenses, plated brass hardware and rims, cotton strap, sponge rubber lining, cloth-covered cardboard case, cotton batting. ATTACHMENT: Cloth band with sliding buckles; snap closure on case. MARKINGS: WR and WL on lenses; S. COOK written on band; S. COOK written on Willson Pilot Goggle label on end of box.
