Independent incumbent Paul von Hindenburg won a second 7 year term against Adolf Hitler of the National Socialist German Workers Party after his 1st attempt at the office. On a dark, rainy Sunday, April 10, 1932, the people voted. The Old Gentleman Hindenburg, now 85, was elected by an absolute majority to another 7 term.
