Rare Opportunity to own a pair of Original WWI press photos of Medal of Honor Recipient, and 14th Commandant (also shortest serving commandant) of the Marine Corps, Wendell C. These photos are date stamped 1918 and 1919, and were both used as press photos for an unknown publication during the great war. They are both credited to “Bain News Service” of New York City. Highest Award given By General Franco to Generals of the German Luftwaffe and Other German Forces During the Spanish Civil War. Gilt-edged White enamel Greek cross on swivel crown suspension; the face with an imposed circular central medallion in red, white enamel and gilt metal bearing an escutcheon quarterly of Castile and Leon with Granada overall. Circa 1920’s Full Dress General Officer’s Visor Cap. There is very detailed bullion work around the band. Not sure who the maker is, or the size. In good condition; the sweatband is worn, stained and is missing stitching about half-way around. The bullion vein work design is largely gone, but still has a great look. This is an original 1930 signed by Spanish General Francisco Franco. He later became the Spanish dictator from 1939 to 1975. The document is framed with a picture of him and write in Spanish. It measures 10 by 14 inches in the frame. The document by itself measures6.5 by 9 inches. The signature on the photo is a copy, but the document is an original signature. It is in great condition.
