Jet Pilot’s Helmet circa 1963. Plus original helmet bag. Helmet carrier bag would need zipper Helmet itself is missing some parts Missing parts and needs cleaning. Helmet was worn by my father during the last year of his pilots career. Outer shell has no cracks and is missing liner which was glued on. All snaps and clips work. Later, little brother used it as a pretend motor cycle helmet and modified it to fit his needs. I made no attempt to clean, or buff as I did not want to chance of damaging the actual surface. A beautiful piece of history worthy of being prominently displayed. The item “Jet Pilot’s Helmet circa 1963. B-57 bomber and the helmet’s carry bag” is in sale since Wednesday, October 9, 2019. This is the real deal, NOT a reproduction. These were made by a variety of furniture makers and other subcontractors. These came in different dimensions and sizes per whomever was doing the ordering (police, FBI, etc) so there is no cookie cutter blueprint on these. This one features a black faux? Leather exterior and chrome plated corner protectors showing some rust, blue felt lining very nice albeit dirty in spots, also has original brass cleaning rod, one brush along with a key for the lock. Cleaning rod snap works and is intact. All exterior latches work and are marked USA Excelsior, Stamford, Conn. Main lock has rocket type logo on it and works. As expected, the felt is dirty and shows signs of wear along with small rips inside from drum magazine and other use. Reserve has been decided and set only after speaking to a few other experts. Thank you and good luck. Own a rare piece of tommy gun history. Not sure if it fits an M1/M1A1 or not. Lots of room though. FOR ALL THE EXPERTS OUT THERE WHOM CANNOT READ! I do not state anywhere in this ad that this case is from the 1930’s, nor have I implied that it’s from that time period! “FBI case” in the title has no purpose but for searching and finding this item, as that is what most people refer to this case as. I’m simply saying this case is NOT a modern reproduction. This is a case purposely built for the Thompson decades ago. External Dimensions (rounded up slightly). 11 high (including handle folded flat). The item “Genuine FBI Carry Case For Thompson 1928 Submachine Gun Police Tommy Gun SMG” is in sale since Monday, August 14, 2017. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Militaria\1919-38\Original Period Items”. The seller is “aspen-360″ and is located in Bath, Pennsylvania. This item can be shipped to United States.
