Rare Spanish ORDER OF Military MERIT for Legion Condor, 1936. It is a gold version of’Al Merito Militar. Gilt-edged White enamel cross on swivel crown suspension. The face with an imposed circular central medallion in red, white enamel and gilt metal bearing an escutcheon quarterly of Castile and Léon with Granada overall. The Order was created by Queen Isabel II in 1864 for military merit,’Al Merito Militar. The cross is of white enamel in times of peace, and of red in times of war. This is from the period 1938 to 1940. Awarded to 3rd Reich Luftwaffe and Panzer Personnel During Spanish Civil War 1936. Equivalent to German Knights Cross.
