POLAND POLISH REGIMENTAL CIGARETTE CASE, STERLING with hallmarks. 5.8 ounces, 3 by 4 inches. Warsaw Palace and large 2 by 2.5 inch TOPOR coat of arms. A superb example of Polish jewelry workmanship. An award to an officer on November 4th 1933 by his commanding officer for outstanding performance of military duty which did not merit a decoration. The inscription reads, NAGRODA DOWODCY KWO POLSIE, 4. Some of these cigarette cases were also give out during regimental award ceremonies, returning to the reserves or other events commemorating a major event pertaining to the recipient.
