Original Eibar steel Helmet Mk34-38 from Spain, Spanish Civil War. The Eibar helmet is named for the Basque city where they were manufactured. Its officially known as the Model 1934 (some say M38 as well) and is one of the harder to find helmets from the Spanish Civil War. The front has an attachment for a badge, meaning it was used by the troops of general Franco. It has a nice chinstrap and smooth original color. WW2 Dutch steel helmet M34 type in original condition. This helmet was manufactured in the Netherlands by “Artillerie Inrichtingen” or “Verblifa”. The helmet shell is original. The badge was removed in the fog of war during the 5 days of defending the Netherlands against the Germans (may 10-15 1940). Against the facts proved by tests, the soldiers feared the soft copper badge would make a good entry for bullets to enter and pierce the steel helmet. Although untrue, they removed the badge when being near the front line. During the occupation by the Germans, badges were removed as well to meet the Nazi standards. But that was done mechanically, and not leaving clear traces as this example shows. This is a highly collectable item which will undoubtedly increase in value. See also my other advertisements. Russian SSh36 Hasanka combat helmet WW2, Schvartz Kaska M36. For sale is a rare USSR SSh-36 “Shvartz” helmet. This helmet was an improvement over the Adrian-type helmets primarily used by the Red Army. The M-36 was designed in 1935 by Alexander Shvartz, an officer of the Red Army. While it was expensive and too complex in manufacturing, it was aborted in 1941 in favor of the less expensive SSh-40 model. Not many of these helmets survived WW2. In good condition they are only available at very high prices. I think this helmet is a very good reproduction. I think it is suitable for re-enactment. For sale is a Polish M31-36, LUDWIKOW Salamandra helmet World War II. The helmet was restored from a very oxidised condition and has been given a smooth anti-reflex paint. The colour is very similar to the original. Poland developed these helmets to fit the new 1936 uniform. Nowadays they are only for sale at high prices. So may be this restored original one suits the not-so-rich, but serious collectioners. This helmet was a relic, found in a bunker in Bochum Dahlhausen, Germany. There was a FLAK position on the mountain nearby, and the German special troops had bunkers in the mountain. They holed up in the entire forest area to fight the approaching Americans in the last few days. The question is, what was a Polish helmet, what were the Poles doing in Bochum! ? Condition of the helmet is restored thouroughly, especially the rusted brim, restored by me. It is a 100% authentic found piece from the last few days in the Ruhr Kessel.
