Also with a m. Women’s Breast Badge. The enamel from the full size medal is in perfect condition. From the Miniature Women’s Breast Badge mini. Is only missing a small chip (cross tip)of the enamel. Overall everything is in a nice condition. Service medal of the order of St. Engraved and presented to 5790 L/ Supt. Comes in his original case, with the original ribbon and clasp. The case need some restoration, its missing a side. Silver medals were awarded between 1892 and 1948. The round medal depicted a cross of Malta embossed with two lions and two unicorns in their arms. The background was blackened so that the cross was more visible. The medals before 1948 are from Stirling silver but were never marked. Don´t know why, but you find no marked awarded ones! This coin remained in use with little change until 1984. Especially in the later insignia the quality is very bad. This is associated with the large number of brothers; every year between 250 and 400 brothers and sisters are appointed.
