VERY NICE JAPANESE ARMY OFFICER SHIN GUNTO KOTO BLADE SWORD WITH TASSEL
This is a very nice example of a Japanese Shin Gunto Sword carried by an Army Officer during World War II. It is mounted with an ancestral, streamline signed KOTO blade that wears a cutting edge of 26 3/4 inches in length. The blade has survived in beautiful polished condition with a very nice temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The tang wears one hole and although difficult to make out, possibly reads? All the nice quality fittings also remain very nice as does the metal scabbard which remains absolutely perfect in its condition. Still present, is a lovely field grade red and brown Tassel that remains very nice as well. Overall, the Sword measures 41 1/8 inches in length. Be sure to add me to your favorites list.
