Wool service/field jacket issued to Finnish soldiers and civil guards back in the day. Although officially phased out by the late 1930s, many of these uniforms ended up being worn during WW2. Thick heavy-duty wool construction and oddly elaborate design – double-vented back, four external pockets with fancy flaps, adjustable cuffs, huge collar that can be worn turned up, and even a built-in belt. The M27 has everything! No military property stamps. Very good condition for its age – lining is nice and clean, all buttons are present, stitches are all intact and the wool fabric only has some minor moth grazing in a few spots. Small size 46 (US 34-36). These jackets are scarce even in Finland itself, so here’s your chance to own a serious piece of history. Ultra Rare Finnish M19 Puukkopistin Made by Alex Coppel Solingen in Germany for Finnish Army NCO. Complete with Scabbard and Leather Straps which are intact. This is the knurled metal handle version which was worn by higher ranking sergeant to second lieutenant. Also known as the M22 Puukkopistin or NCO Knife. Finnish Bayonet M/28 by Hackman with Hackman Black Painted Fluted Scabbard. This is a Civil Guard Bayonet for the M28 Mosin Nagant Rifle. The M/28 Bayonet was dipped in bluing thus why it has the brown line on the Ricasso. Many Hackman M28 Bayonets have this brown line line removed due to the excessive polishing. This one has not been touched. A fine example of a Finnish Civil Guard Hackman Bayonet. The civil guard inspectors mark =S= is on the opposite side of the cross guard from the Hackman Maker Mark on the Ricasso. This unusual but not unheard of. Civil Guard District 84471 is on the hilt without the S. This was common for later Civil Guard items. 03 is on the pommel. Rare sleeve patch of. Each military district had its own color scheme to identify its troops. The shield was sewn to the left sleeve of the tunic. These patches were used from the 1920’s through the second world war by home front troops attached to the Civil Guard. Dimensions 75 X 50 mm. See details on scans.
