Jansen who served during the American colonization of the Philippines. His primary home address is 3 Wolcott Road Winchester, Mass. In one particular letter Colonel Jansen is taken to a remote island in the Philippines by submarine where he is stationed by himself. The letters cover the years 1918 through the 1920’s.
