NICE GERMAN MADE BRONZE FITTED ROMANTIC DAGGER

This is a very nice example of a nicely detailed Romantic style German Dagger Dirk made by Gerb. Becker Solingen that dates from the mid 20th Century. It is mounted with a beautiful blade which measures 5 inches in length that remains in very nice original condition and continues to wear very nice, clear markings on either side. The gilded bronze hilt and scabbard are fabulously high relief detailed and remain in excellent condition as well with a rich aged patina now developed. VERY RARE SOVIET CIVIL WAR MADE RUSSIAN M1881 DRAGOON SWORD SHASHKA

Kulinsky “Russian Edge Weapons” Vol 1 Pg. 152 but the absolute majority of these swords were made before revolution and have Imperial marks (often grinded). It is indeed extremely rare to find Soviet made M1881. The sword is solid, no loose parts, no blade/guard/grip movement, the blade has some rust, cracks free grip, the wooden scabbard scratches, damaged leather over the wood but nothing major, very solid overall.
