This is an original full size medal, not a reproduction. Changhai is french for Shanghai. Medal reads “Servir” and “Medaille de Changhai Concession Fran├žaise” with L. The Medal was awarded for service during the Battle of Shanghai, 13 August to 26 November 1937 between Chinese and invading Japanese forces, especially in protecting members of the foreign communities present in the city.
