Original Bavarian German gabardine wool jacket dated 1936 with label reading from würzburg classic southern German design outstanding condition for its age size is 37 regular. Please note the two moth nips by the rear collar as denoted in the photo the lining is very good condition does have what seems to be a patch sewn in not sure what that was if it was a label or not. It has a beautiful burgundy color throughout, with minor scuffs and scratches. The stitching is tight and appears all original. A very elegant holster thats almost 100 years old! Per Jan Stills Luger Forum site, it is believed the Crown signifies the corresponding Bavarian Army Corps. These holsters are almost all dated 1918 or undated, so likely produced near the end of World War I or just after. There were three Bavarian Army Corps Districts (I, II, III). The range of numbers under the crown, found on the holsters reflects the range of Bavarian Army Corps Districts (I-III) and lends credibility to the theory that the Crown/number indicates the Bavarian Army Corps.
