It is mounted with a beautiful arsenal made, stainless steel blade that wears a cutting edge that measures 24 1/4 inches in length. The blade has survived in wonderfully nice original condition with only some very minor surface blemishes. The tang wears one hole and is unmarked. All the very nice quality fittings remain clean and in beautiful condition as well. The very nice metal scabbard also remains pristine in its condition. Overall measuring 39 1/8 inches in length. This is a very nice example of a beautiful high ranking Japanese Army General Officer Dress Parade Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a lovely machine made blade that measures 29 1/8 inches in length which has survived in very nice original condition with just some minor surface blemishes. The outstanding guard wears an intricately detailed backstrap which includes sakura blossoms and frames a vibrant, colorful hilt with its twisted wire wrap still tightly in place. This is a very nice example of a short Japanese Army Officer Sword which dates from the Showa Era and is in Civilian Mount. It is mounted with a well-made arsenal blade that wears a cutting edge of 21 1/2 inches and from tip to tip it measures 29 1/8 inches in length. The blade boasts a lovely straight temper line which extends to the tip on both sides and remains in beautiful original condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The tang wears a Showa stamp and is signed ” Fukumoto KANEMUNE “. It wears gorgeous matching menuki and simple but very nice fuchi kashira that all remain in very nice condition as well. This is a fabulous example of a fine quality Japanese Imperial Naval Officer’s Kai Gunto Sword. It is mounted with a gorgeous and very well made hand-forged blade that wears a cutting edge which measures 27 inches in length. The blade remains in very nice, original condition with just some very minor surface blemishes and continues to proudly don its beautiful actively wavy temper line. The tang is very nicely signed which translates to “Fujiwara Sukekore saku kore”. The hilt and all the lovely gilded superb quality matching fittings also remain in wonderful, original condition and the samé covered scabbard has survived in outstanding condition as well. It is mounted with a gorgeous well made grooved, unsigned blade which wears a cutting edge that measures 27 3/8 inches in length. The blade remains in near perfect original polished condition boasting its attractive actively wavy temper line. The fabulous large D-guard has now beautifully patined with age and frames a very nice white rayskin covered hilt that remains very healthy and continues to wear its original twisted wire wrap securely in place. This is a rare and seldom encountered Rumanian Naval Officer’s Sword which dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a very nice slightly curved blade that measures 31 1/8 inches in length. The blade is beautifully etched on either side and remains in wonderful, original condition with just some minor surface blemishes and is well marked by the maker Carl Eickhorn Solingen on the ricasso. The guard wears an intricately detailed birdhead pommel with the accentuating detailing extending along the backstrap, and is wonderfully enhanced with a lovely floral motif that frames a roped anchor upon the face of the guard. The guard has also survived in beautiful condition and with much of the original gold wash still brightly present. The hard composite hilt remains very nice as well with the original twisted wire wrap tight and secure. The very attractive scabbard is dressed with beautifully coordinating fittings and although the leather finish is a bit scuffed, does remain in very nice serviceable condition. This is an outstanding example of a Japanese Army Officer’s Combat Sword Belt which dates from the World War II Era. It is constructed of heavy canvas with leather trim and metal fittings. The canvas has survived in extremely nice, healthy condition as has all the leather fittings with all their stitching still tightly intact.
