Very Nice Japanese Army Officer Sword Mounted With Shinto Blade
This is a very nice example of a World War II Japanese Army Shin Gunto Officer Sword mounted with an ancestral blade. The very fine antique Shinto, unsigned blade wears a cutting edge of 27 1/4 inches in length. This quality made blade has survived in very healthy condition, continuing to wear its beautiful polish and does wear a visibly large actively wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The Sword also wears nice quality Army Shin Gunto Regulation Mounts which all remain very nice as well. The lightweight aluminum Regulation scabbard also remains very nice in its condition and with just a little light scuffing to the finish. Overall, the Sword measures 40 5/8 inches in length.
