VERY NICE JAPANESE ARMY OFFICER SWORD
This is a nice and desirable example of a Japanese Army Officer’s Sword. It is mounted with a beautiful streamline stainless steel forged blade that wears a cutting edge that measures 24 7/8 inches in length and from tip to tip measures 33 1/8 inches in length. The blade has survived in very nice condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The well signed tang wears characters which translate to Fujiwara Mitsunaga motte? All the Army fittings remain in very nice condition as well. The wooden scabbard continues to wear its combat leather covering which is now a bit worn. Overall measuring 37 5/8 inches in length.
