World War II 27 Inch German Eagle
I’ve been collecting for 10 years and have decided to part with a few relics. This impressive 27 railroad eagle is one of the most sought after relics of the third reich. They were used in various sizes, on German railway locomotives, diesels, passenger cars as well as on buildings. Not only have they taken off in popularity but also price over the years, making them more difficult to find. This fine example is maker marked PS inside a small circle. Compound elements are also stamped on the wing (gal galvanized aluminum – mg magnesium , si – silicone) stamped in the center of the eagle are the abbreviations lok 680 locomotive 680mm rza5 reich zug adler (train eagle) , bln berlin. The threaded mounting posts are still intact and the details are very sharp and extremely well detailed. This is high quality specimen with beautiful patina. I’m willing to part with 10 of these from my collection. The eagle you receive may be the one pictured, or another of the same pristine quality.
