VERY NICE JAPANESE ARMY OFFICER SWORD LATE WAR PATTERN
This is a very good example of a Japanese Army Officer’s Shin Gunto Sword Late War Pattern. It is mounted with a machine made blade that measures 25 7/8 inches in length. The blade remains in good, healthy condition with no nicks and no bends but does have a few scratches and some minor surface staining. The tang is signed which translates to ” HIROMISTU ” and is dated “Showa jukyunen jugatsu (1944, October)”. All the fittings also remain in very nice condition as does the metal scabbard which has only a little scuffing near the carrying ring. Overall measuring 38 3/4 inches in length.
