M1916 Field Artillery Harness, Wheel Horse. BREAST COLLAR complete with NECK STRAP, ZINC COLLAR PAD and NECK YOKE STRAP. Collar Pad has HOOK to engage D ring on pommel of Cavalry / Artillery McClellan Saddle. All stampings are of Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot, post WW1 successor to Rock Island Arsenal for the manufacter of US military harness and saddlery. Has not be put together from various pieces. I took it apart for inspection and cleaning, has not be reassembled. Leather is undamaged, still should be softened some more to make more supple. Iron is brown patinaed.
