The game matched Aircraft Squadrons, Scouting Fleet – champions of the Scouting Fleet in 1926 and 1927 – against USS California, champions of the Battle Fleet. Interior pages list prior Scouting Fleet and Battle Fleet game results, batting order, reserve players, and hand-entered scoring. Navy archive, with Moore’s handwritten service history retained as provenance linking the archive to his interwar Navy service aboard USS Whitney, USS Concord, and USS Dobbin. A rare interwar U. Navy sports and fleet-aviation artifact tying together baseball, Guantanamo Bay, Scouting Fleet aviation, USS Wright, and USS California. Interior scoring is handwritten in pencil.
