No officer or enlisted man is entitled to more than one such medal. Rare Spanish Civil War Admiral Valdes Republican Navy Sailors Hat Cap Helmet. It has hand inscriptions with a sailors log of ports in spain and or battles. This destroyer traveled north with the Republican, including in the battle of Cape Cherchell and later in convoy escort. On July 12, 1937, together with the destroyers Lepanto, Churruca, Admiral Miranda, Gravina and Sanchez Baircáztegui, they maintained an artillery duel with the cruiser Balearic Islands, while the destroyers escorted the tanker Campillo, in which both sides withdrew after an hour of firing, the Balearic Islands, discovering that their cannons were overheating after 50 shots. On March 5, 1939, following the uprising in the city, he left Cartagena with the bulk of the Republican squadron for Bizerte (Tunisia), where he arrived on March 11.
