Very rare Soviet Budenovka. This original Budenovka is in great condition with no repairs, tears or holes. It has its original buttons and enamel Hammer and Sickle badge. It only shows some minor wear at the edge of the inner lining and some corrosion on the metal buttons. The two metal buttons are marked. One shows a’M’ and’67’, the other a’M’ and’65’. It is mounted with a slightly curved blade that measures 30 3/4 inches in length which remains in poor condition with heavy pitting near the tip however continues to wear some markings as well as is dated 194? The hilt has a grooved wooden grip that remains healthy and tight and the brass fittings are now deeply patined. The wooden scabbard is metal fitted, also in poor condition but is still mounted with its rusted Mosin-Nagant bayonet. Overall measuring 38 1/8 inches in length. This is a good example of a Soviet Russian Cossack Shashka Sword P 1927. It is mounted with a slightly curved blade that measures 31 3/4 inches in length which remains in good condition with minor surface staining and continues to wear very nice markings as well as is dated “37”. The hilt has a grooved wooden grip that remains healthy and tight and wears beautiful brass fittings with a pommel which is nicely stamped with the Soviet emblem. The wooden scabbard is brass fitted and although has a little scuffing, does remain in nice serviceable condition and continues to wear its Mosin-Nagant bayonet. Russian M36 Spanish Civil War Helmet of the Republic. This is a beauty!!! One of my all time favorite helmet designs, the M36. These helmet were new to the Soviet arsenal and were first battle tested here in Spain. Very few Spanish troops were issued these. The majority of them were used by Russian forces and the International Brigades. I’ve never seen pictures of any of these on the heads of the Nationalists. The capturing and re-issuing of each others equipment was common place. The distinct shape of these and their direct tie to Russia probably had Franco’s men feeling that they’d rather do without a helmet than wear a captured commie lid. To that point, I’ve never seen an M36 “Francanized” post war helmet with the front bracket for the Franco Spanish eagle. Russian paint and Russian liner. We know that she’s been to Spain because she’s got a Spanish Chinstrap. This one is coming right out of my personal collection. I love this one but how many can a guy have? Very good condition and guaranteed original pre WWII Russian Model 1927 cavalry Shashka sword. Nicely unit marked on the blade and dated 1932. 31 ¾ blade has beautiful original bright finish and has been sharpened. Still has original leather washer at the base. Brass fittings have attractive patina. Dated 1932 on the lower fitting, pommel has beautiful hammer and sickle markings. Fitted in correct original leather covered scabbard that has steel fittings.
