Rare Soviet Silver Badge Token Jeton USSR Award 1929 Victory On The Labour Front. Offered for sale is a rare commemorative silver token (875 silver hallmark), awarded in 1929 for achievement on the labour front. The token commemorates the 1st Union competition held at the Kharkiv Locomotive Plant (???) and was presented to comrade P. Peltzman by the Kharkiv District Executive Committee. The front features a detailed Sulzer locomotive image; the reverse carries the engraved dedication and official hallmarks. Origin: USSR, Kharkiv. Date: 9 October 1929 (9/X/1929). Material: Sterling silver. Weight: 6.80 grams. Condition: Excellent antique condition with natural patina. The chain is snapped. «1-???????????????? . Fatherland Front patriotic right-wing organization. Made in bronze with gold wash. Dated 25 July 1934. Portrait of Engelbert Dollfuss on the observe in dress uniform with Alpine collar tabs. It advocated Austrian nationalism and independence from Germany on the basis of protecting Austria’s Catholic religious identity from what they considered a Protestant-dominated German state.

This poster was a submission for the 3rd Annual Peace Poster Contest in the 1930s’. It has an identifying stamp at the lower right corner with the name “Edna” next to it. It certainly has seen better days – as it has a long tare at the “W” in war as well as the lower left corner bottom. Also noted is the moisture damage that is seen by the dark areas and shapes on the poster. We acquired this from a local estate sale with no other information provided.
