1930’s EM Infantry Dress Visor Cap – Contract Marked. The cap has some light wear throughout. The blue infantry cap band has some wear, fading and discoloration (see pictures). Chin strap and visor have some light wear and the visor has cracking in the finish. The cap insignia has some light wear and blemishing. The sweatband has some wear, small holes and a few small areas where the stitching has come loose. Under the sweatband is the contract marks. Size: 6 7/8 approx. This poster was a submission for the 3rd Annual Peace Poster Contest in the 1930s’. It has an identifying stamp at the lower right corner with the name “Edna” next to it. It certainly has seen better days – as it has a long tare at the “W” in war as well as the lower left corner bottom. Also noted is the moisture damage that is seen by the dark areas and shapes on the poster. We acquired this from a local estate sale with no other information provided. Including rural area like Berchtesgaden, Dachau, Bad Tolz, Bad Reichenhall, Bad Aibling, Holzkirchen, Mittenwald, Miesbach, Feldkirchen, Garmisch Partenkirchen, Pfaffenhofen, Oberaudorf, Tegernsee, Schliersee, Starnberg and many more….. Very awesome book and a must have for the historian about Germany. Fair exterior and good interior c. Complete with all pages. Head of spine chipped, extremities soiled, occasional foxed, else ok. Approx/Measurements: 11-3/4″ x 8″ and 1.8 lb. Among the large worldwide libraries, there is only one copy known in the German National Library. No other copy known in a library or for sale. If you think you are an advanced collector, check your own library and let me know if you have found one. Note regarding the provenance. This is no coincidence. I had acquired both volumes with the card in one lot, and both volumes have this provenance. I don’t know exactly how they could happen to receive the 1939 volume without to return the 1938 volume. Indication for this is, that the NS district leader [Kreisleiter] of Bad Tolz, Franz Reichinger, committed murder and suicide on his wife, three small children and mother-in-law on May 1, 1945 in the NSV children’s home in Bairawies when the US soldiers approached with their tanks. Vintage US Navy Expanding Tube Cleaners Manufactured By Thomas Wilson Inc. These are original and have normal wear for their age. Comes with the original what looks like Patent Blueprints by Thomas Wilson Inc for the US Navy, dated 1932. They have by no means been tested. I’m hoping they will have historical value for someone’s collection. Of course that’s not to say they wouldn’t expand and clean tubes if cleaned up. I do not use stock photos.
