Spanish m21 Experimental helmet, Sin Ala Spanish Civil War, original complete
Original Spanish model 1921 `Sin Ala` combat helmet. This is one you won`t see very often, this model was made in 12.000 examples as a tes trial, and finally rejected for the well known m26 “Con Ala” wich had a more pronounced visor and a more flared skirt. The m21 remained in storage till the outbreak of the Spanish civil war, and the ones surviving were refurbished for further use in the Franco army after the war. Helmet is in very good condition, no holes or cracks, no dings, very light surface wear. Original mid-green factory finish. Leather liner the standard Spanish type of liner, made out of 3 leather pads mounted on a leather liner band that is rivetted to the shell. All pads are backed by grey felt, and are in good, supple condition. The chinstrap is made out of brown leather, is in excellent conditon, and has the buckle and prong type of closure. This type, really doesn`t run the streets, so take your chance on this one. If you have any questions, or need additional pictures, please let me know, I’ll try to respond as quick as possible.
