Unique, Original Circa 1930's Pearl Harbor U. S. Navy S/m Base Badge #32
For your consideration this listing is for a possibly unique, original surviving badge from the U. Navy S/M (standard missile)? Base, Pearl Harbor, T. This treasure is made of some type of metal due. The center of the badge features two stylized dolphins flanking each side of a large military vessel. It is raised from the base of the metal and tests positive for sterling silver. We’ve owned the badge app 30 years. For the last 2 or 3 years, we’ve tried looking up this badge to see if any others exist and value but have come up empty handed. We’d be appreciative if anyone else has any further information on it. We believe the badge is most likely from the mid 30’s or perhaps a little earlier based on the dolphin motif. This is just our best educated guess. Dimensions are: app 3″ x 2 1/4″ at widest part. Where could you possibly find another one? Please don’t be afraid to make a reasonable offer.
