This sale is for a rare vintage U. Army M-1904 leather saddle scabbard. The scabbard was produced under military contract by the Lawrence Co. Portland, Oregon, on or near 1917 – 1918. The scabbard was produced to accommodate the Army M-1903 Springfield rifle. The scabbard has the “LAWRENCE” mark and also S. Which could be the inspectors initials. This leather scabbard does not have the two tie down straps or belts. The condition of this scabbard is very good. All of the stitching is tight and complete, the brass rivets and copper washers are also tight and in good condition. The hole at the bottom of the scabbard still contains the brass grommet. Today Id like to offer up a dagger that Has been with my family many years.. Hate to see it go but in the more recent years my collection has leaned more towards an older time period. Original Sa dagger in pristine condition. Pant rates in at around 98% with just a few scrapes here and there. Moto and maker mark are excellent. Cross grain is visible , and has never been shortened or re tipped. Handle is flawless and looks factory new as is the sa roundle and other inset. Fittings are the typical rzm style and have only minor wear with no lifting to the nickel plate. Screws are all there and remain unturned! Comes with original hanger in great condition as well and very strong and solid! This historical artifact is for historical purposes. I try to describe the item as best as i can. The pics are the description. No provenance is given on any historical items; the ww2 collectables niche is too vast to know it all.
