This is an extremely nice example of a Japanese Shin Gunto Army Officer’s Sword. It is mounted with a beautiful arsenal made, stainless steel blade that wears a cutting edge that measures 24 1/4 inches in length. The blade has survived in wonderfully nice original condition with only some very minor surface blemishes. The tang wears one hole and is unmarked. All the very nice quality fittings remain clean and in beautiful condition as well. The very nice metal scabbard also remains pristine in its condition. Overall measuring 39 1/8 inches in length. This is an outstanding example of a War-Time Historically Recorded Battlefield Pick-Up World War II Japanese Army Officer Sword mounted with an ancestral blade. The old antique Wakizashi blade wears a cutting edge of 20 3/8 inches in length. The blade does wear a visibly wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side however reflects cleanings from recent years and has a couple of nicks to the cutting edge, otherwise does remain in good condition. The tang wears one hole and is signed “Bishu Ju San Shiro”. The Sword wears Army Shin Gunto Regulation Mounts which all remain in very nice however there is a small glued repair to the wrapping. The Regulation scabbard remains very nice in its condition and is wonderfully hand painted with the recording of one of the hill battles of Iwo Jima along with the date March 26, 1945 and the name of the GI that brought it home. This is a fabulous example of a fine quality Japanese Imperial Naval Officer’s Kai Gunto Sword. It is mounted with a gorgeous and very well made hand-forged blade that wears a cutting edge which measures 27 inches in length. The blade remains in very nice, original condition with just some very minor surface blemishes and continues to proudly don its beautiful actively wavy temper line. The tang is very nicely signed which translates to “Fujiwara Sukekore saku kore”. The hilt and all the lovely gilded superb quality matching fittings also remain in wonderful, original condition and the samé covered scabbard has survived in outstanding condition as well. Extremely rare Polish, Poland saber wz. Sabre is in very good condition, with the original scabbard. On the inside of the brass handle there is a monogram “GK”. Because this officer served in the Polish Army on emigration and he died in the United Kingdom. With the saber are British knot and frog. Sword, saber in very good. Condition for his age. Dimension : 95 cm x 12 cm. Used, with beautiful patina of age, complete and very beautiful! It is the standard cost. This item weighs over 2 kg. This is a good example of a Japanese Naval Officer’s Dress Sword which dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a beautiful machine made blade that measures 25 5/8 inches in length which remains in very nice original condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The lovely D-guard is beautifully detailed and frames a samé covered hilt with the original wire wrap still tightly in place. Pretty cherry blossoms “sakura” motifs adorn the pommel, the backstrap and the guard face. The lovely shagreen covered scabbard has an aged seam opening as well as a crack to the shagreen, but is not broken and does remain in good condition as well as wears wonderfully detailed fittings. This is a very nice example of a beautiful high ranking Japanese Army General Officer Dress Parade Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a lovely machine made blade that measures 29 1/8 inches in length which has survived in very nice original condition with just some minor surface blemishes. The outstanding guard wears an intricately detailed backstrap which includes sakura blossoms and frames a vibrant, colorful hilt with its twisted wire wrap still tightly in place. The plated metal scabbard has some minor flaking as well as a few small tiny dings, nevertheless does remain in very good serviceable condition. Overall measuring 35 3/4 inches in length. The blade also continues to wear its wonderful, actively wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The tang wears the signature “Sukegawa SADAMITSU ” on one side. This is an extremely nice example of a Japanese Army Shin Gunto Officer’s Sword which dates from the World War II Era and is mounted with a blade by Kanenaga who was known for his fine, well made stainless steel blades. This lovely blade wears a cutting edge that measures 25 1/2 inches in length. The blade has survived in beautiful original condition with only some very minor surface scratches and a couple of very tiny nicks along the cutting edge. The tang is signed with a signature that translates to Fujiwara Kanenaga Motte? Seitan saku kore and on the other side? Tasugi Shinichi (most likely the name for whom it was made). Kanenaga is also known as the originator of stainless steel blades. The beautiful nice quality Military fittings all remain in very nice, clean condition as well. The LIGHTWEIGHT textured wooden scabbard also remains near perfect in its condition with just a couple of very tiny chips to the finish. Overall measuring 39 inches in length. Very good condition and guaranteed original pre WWII German Navy Model 1923 officer sword. Left side of blade also has the German Navy eagle M property marking. Sword is marked N584 on the reverse guard, which is a Nordsee (Baltic Sea) Fleet inventory number. 30 ½ blade has nice original bright finish with just a little scattered brown freckling. Remaining metal is original gilt showing light wear. Sword features a lion head pommel and an anchor design on the folding guard. Grip has tight wire wrap and no damage. Sword is complete with correct original not. Fitted in correct original leather scabbard that has brass fittings. Leather shows some normal wear, stitching is nice and tight. Throat is a little loose. Scabbard is complete with braided leather hanger cord and is also marked eagle M and N584 on the throat, matching the sword.
