This is a very nice example of a Japanese Army Officer Shin Gunto Sword. It is mounted with a beautiful hand-forged blade that wears a cutting edge which measures 27 inches in length. The blade remains in very nice original condition with a lovely actively wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The tang wears two holes and is unsigned however, there are a couple of light hand scratched characters that were added in recent years that could easily be removed. All the fittings have also survived in very nice, clean condition. The metal scabbard also remains in very nice condition. Overall measuring 40 1/2 inches in length. Rare and seldom encountered to find in any condition, this is a very nice example of a LIGHTWEIGHT Japanese Army Officer’s Shin Gunto Sword. It is mounted with a beautiful machine made blade that wears a cutting edge that measures 30 3/8 inches in length which remains in very nice original condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The Shin Gunto style hilt has some light staining nevertheless remains tight and sturdy. The metal scabbard also remains very nice, however is missing the base fitting which could be replaced in the right hands. Overall measuring 39 1/4 inches in length. This is a very nice example of a German Prussian Imperial Officer’s Sword that dates from the early 20th Century. It is mounted with a slightly curved plain blade that measures 32 1/8 inches in length which remains in nice original condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The lovely gilded guard features an intricately detailed oak leaf pattern along the backstrap and has survived in nice condition with all of the gold was still present as well as frames a beautiful composite covered hilt with its twisted wire wrap still securely in place. This is a very nice example of a Japanese Naval Officer’s Dress Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a beautiful machine made blade that measures 25 5/8 inches in length which although shows to have been lightly cleaned, does remain in nice condition. The D-guard is beautifully detailed with pretty cherry blossoms “sakura” motifs that adorn the pommel, the backstrap and the guard face and frame a lovely white samé covered hilt with the original twisted wire wrap still tightly in place. The wonderful shagreen covered scabbard has one scuff on one side, nevertheless also remains is in very nice condition and wears equally beautiful detailed fittings. This is a very nice example of a World War II Japanese Army Shin Gunto Officer Sword mounted with an ancestral blade. The very fine antique Shinto, unsigned blade wears a cutting edge of 27 1/4 inches in length. This quality made blade has survived in very healthy condition, continuing to wear its beautiful polish and does wear a visibly large actively wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The Sword also wears nice quality Army Shin Gunto Regulation Mounts which all remain very nice as well. The lightweight aluminum Regulation scabbard also remains very nice in its condition and with just a little light scuffing to the finish. Overall, the Sword measures 40 5/8 inches in length. This is an extremely nice example of a Japanese Army Shin Gunto Officer’s Sword which dates from the World War II Era and is mounted with a blade by Kanenaga who was known for his fine, well made stainless steel blades. This lovely blade wears a cutting edge that measures 25 1/2 inches in length. The blade has survived in beautiful original condition with only some very minor surface scratches and a couple of very tiny nicks along the cutting edge. The tang is signed with a signature that translates to Fujiwara Kanenaga Motte? Seitan saku kore and on the other side? Tasugi Shinichi (most likely the name for whom it was made). Kanenaga is also known as the originator of stainless steel blades. The beautiful nice quality Military fittings all remain in very nice, clean condition as well. The LIGHTWEIGHT textured wooden scabbard also remains near perfect in its condition with just a couple of very tiny chips to the finish. Overall measuring 39 inches in length. This is a very good example of a Japanese Police Lieutenant Level Sword which dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a machine made blade that measures 23 1/2 inches in length which remains in very nice original condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The beautifully detailed guard wears the Police emblem (16-Ray Badge) on the backstrap near the pommel as well as very nice, intricately detailed leafy designs with cherry blossoms. The lovely hilt is nicely fishskin wrapped that shows a little good honest wear, nevertheless its original twisted wire wrap does remain tightly in place. The plated metal scabbard also reflects a bit of wear to its plating but does remain in nice serviceable as well and has no dings. Overall measuring 31 3/8 inches in length. Nice WW1 USMC campaign cover with a nice Beast EGA and a HQ pin. Size is 7 1/8. Inside cover band is marked leatherneck marksman. Has some alight staining on the brim. This is a very nice example of an Italian Air Force Dress Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a very nice straight, fullered blade that measures 30 1/4 inches in length. The blade is beautifully etched with bright blue and gold on either side, is marked by the maker E & F Hörster Solingen on the ricasso and remains in superb original condition. The lovely cup guard is in the motif of a full eagle’s wing with the pommel in the image of an eagle’s head and remains in nice tight condition. The black painted wooden hilt reflects a little wear to the painted finish, otherwise remains nice as well and the original twisted wire wrap is still securely in place. The metal scabbard is leather covered and beautifully fitted with the top fitting featuring the Air Force emblem.
