1 928 engraved US Navy Good Conduct Medal to Baker 2nd Class Clyde Emanuel Saylor USS Mississippi. Saylor went on to serve in WWII as a Chief Commissary Steward aboard the attack transport USS Mercury AK-20. The plane’s torpedo. Living compartments on the port boat deck and continued on, breaking in two without detonating. The only casualty was Chief Saylor who was killed instantly. He was buried in the 4th Marine Division cemetery on Saipan. Member: ASMIC and OMSA. George VI, Efficiency Medal, 1930, Silver, Weight : 30.83g. Portrait bust of King George VI; INDIA written on a foliated bar on obverse and Inscription FOR EFFICIENT SERVICE on reverse, awarded to SEPOY FAZAL ILAHI. Instituted 17th October 1930, this medal replaced the Territorial Efficiency Medal, the Militia Long Service and Good Conduct Medal and Commonwealth equivalents. Awarded for 12 years service in British Territorial or Militia units or their Commonwealth counterparts. Service in wartime counted double as did service in West Africa.
