A Reproduction M1927 Shashka. The blade is 0.20″ thick, about 1.26″ wide, and 32 long. The tang extends through the handle. It’s not marked other than a very faint “India” on the ricasso. It’s nicely made. It has not been sharpened. There’s some discoloration on the bright polished blade, as shown in the photos. It could be cleaned if you wanted the piece to look new. Else it looks like normal aging. He overall length is 37-3/8 inches. It weighs 2-1/4 lb. It remains in as-new condition. We have a number of swords in stock that we’ll be listing here. Gorgeous and very rare, possibly one-of-a-kind emblem. What you see here is a theater-made officer cover EGA based off the enlisted P-1908. The rope was removed presumably by grinding or filing, and then the emblem was sand cast. After casting, the wire rope was added and the eagle’s head wear twisted in the opposite direction. I believe this to be German-made rather than French, based on German-made sand-casted collar emblems I have seen over the years.
