United States Navy Lieutenant William Dreier was born February 2nd 1897. He enlisted in the Navy and served aboard the Destroyer U. Brooks while apart of the Scouting Fleet in the Caribbean, Atlantic, & Pacific becoming an officer. He passed away January 30th 1977. ORIGINAL UNITED STATES NAVY GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, W/ FULL WRAP BROOCH. RIBBON DRAPE TESTED U. The Navy Good Conduct Medal is the oldest Good Conduct Medal, dating back to 26 April 1869. There have been a total of four versions of the Navy Good Conduct Medal, the first version of which was issued from 1870 to 1884. The original Navy Good Conduct Medal was also not worn on a uniform, but issued with discharge papers as a badge to present during reenlistment. A sailor in the Navy received a new Good Conduct Medal for each honorable enlistment completed. The second version of the Navy Good Conduct Medal was issued between 1880 and 1884. The medal was considered a transitional decoration and was the first of the Good Conduct Medals to be worn on a uniform. The medal was phased out by 1885 and a new medal issued between 1885 and 1961. The new medal was a Good Conduct medallion suspended from an all red ribbon. Enlistment bars, denoting each honorable enlistment completed, were pinned on the ribbon as attachments. These are a pair of original WWI era US Navy Lieutenant junior grade line officer formal dress epaulettes. Extremely difficult to find. At that time, ensigns didn’t wear bars. WWII Serbian Army shoulder board for a pilot Lieutenant with documentation. Maybe only one pair left on market that have full documentation. Pilot Slobodan Kusic, like all other pilots in Serbian aviation was grounded by germans in first month of war. Many of the pilots were never founded. Kusic kept his photo as a prisoner, some letters and some documentation that German issued him during his stay in prison. This is a good example of a Japanese Police Lieutenant Level Sword which dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a machine made blade that measures 27 1/2 inches in length. The blade is a bit stained, nevertheless does remain in good condition. The beautiful brass guard wears the Police emblem (16-Ray Badge) on the backstrap near the pommel as well as very nice, intricately detailed leafy designs with cherry blossoms. The lovely carved horn hilt is very healthy in its condition and continues to wear a portion of its wire wrap. Exceedingly RARE to find in any condition, this is a very nice example of an Italian Partisan Lieutenant Uniform that includes both the Tunic and Breeches. The Partisans fought the Germans and Italian Army in 44 and 45 in Northern Italy and this particular Uniform is a Pre-War Design in its chocolate colored wool as well as includes the handmade insignia which was unique to the Partisans. The Tunic reflects “war sweat stains” most especially along the waistline beneath where the belt would have fit, otherwise remains in very nice, healthy condition with all the stitching still tightly in place and all the buttons still securely attached. The Tunic measures from shoulder seam to shoulder seam 16 1/2 inches across and from the top edge of the collar to the hemline 26 inches in length. The Breeches have also survived in very nice condition with all their buttons still attached and all the stitching nicely intact. The waistline measures about 32 inches and overall they measure from the top of the waistline to the breeches hemlines 28 inches in length. Truly a Rare Find Indeed!
