Very good condition and guaranteed original WWII Italian Model 1933 helmet. Shell has original paint showing some wear and flaking, no dents. Complete with original leather liner and chinstrap. Liner is soft and supple with some normal wear, and is marked for size 59. Chinstrap is a little dry but pliable. A good example of a classic Italian M33 helmet for your collection. Exceedingly RARE to find in any condition, this is a very nice example of an Italian Partisan Lieutenant Uniform that includes both the Tunic and Breeches. The Partisans fought the Germans and Italian Army in 44 and 45 in Northern Italy and this particular Uniform is a Pre-War Design in its chocolate colored wool as well as includes the handmade insignia which was unique to the Partisans. The Tunic reflects “war sweat stains” most especially along the waistline beneath where the belt would have fit, otherwise remains in very nice, healthy condition with all the stitching still tightly in place and all the buttons still securely attached. The Tunic measures from shoulder seam to shoulder seam 16 1/2 inches across and from the top edge of the collar to the hemline 26 inches in length. The Breeches have also survived in very nice condition with all their buttons still attached and all the stitching nicely intact. The waistline measures about 32 inches and overall they measure from the top of the waistline to the breeches hemlines 28 inches in length. Truly a Rare Find Indeed! Thick, heavy medal with stunning original patina, having never been cleaned/polished. No dents/dings/scratches, in immaculate condition. Obverse: Italian legend in Art Deco styled lettering — “Vittorio Emanuelle III Re / Benito Mussolini Capo / Del Governo / Le Comunita Ebraiche / D’Italia a Ricordo Della Legge 30 X 1930 IX”. Italian Fascist party symbols present. Reverse: Menorah with Ten Commandments, and the legend “Senza La Legge Cielo E Terra Crollerebbero” (Without the law heaven and earth would collapse). This medal commemorates the “Jewish Communities Act” of 1930. The Jewish Communities Act developed under the Mussolini government, was designed to organize the Jewish legal standing and required every Jew to be a registered member of a Jewish community (which, unfortunately, made it easier in later years to institute anti-Semitic laws). A historically important medal. I was shocked to have it become available to me recently, knowing how rare it was. Shown in the last two screenshots is another example of this medal currently being offered on the internet from a coin dealer in Israel. There is a long, scholarly article from 2016 from Italy about this period of time. If you search these exact words on Google “MUSSOLINI E GLI EBREI Circolo Culturale Excalibur”, it is the first match that pops up. There you will see another example of this medal, also completely polished/cleaned! I guess of the few extant medals known how many were issued to begin with? Not more than 100, likely 50 or less, most have been cleaned at some point. This medal is truly museum worthy. This is a very nice example of an Italian Air Force Dress Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a very nice straight, fullered blade that measures 30 1/4 inches in length. The blade is beautifully etched with bright blue and gold on either side, is marked by the maker E & F Hörster Solingen on the ricasso and remains in superb original condition. The lovely cup guard is in the motif of a full eagle’s wing with the pommel in the image of an eagle’s head and remains in nice tight condition. The black painted wooden hilt reflects a little wear to the painted finish, otherwise remains nice as well and the original twisted wire wrap is still securely in place. The metal scabbard is leather covered and beautifully fitted with the top fitting featuring the Air Force emblem.
