Hat is made of black felt, it consists of a hight of 120 mm high and a rim that hangs on the two opposite sides. The left hemisphere is 140 mm high and the right is 130. The circumference is covered with 70 mm wide black silk enlargement. The widths are equal to the enlargement of the labels. On the right side of the hat there is a braid somewhat bent backwards leading from the front of the rim towards the middle of the hat. The braid is made of gilded rope 45 mm wide. At the upper edge of the perimeter under the braid, there is a silk cockade in national colors, 80 mm in diameter. In each corner of the hat there is one round cockade in state colors, with a monogram King Aleksandar. This is an extremely nice example of an outstanding high ranking Japanese Army Officer Dress Parade Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a beautiful machine made blade that measures 27 1/4 inches in length which remains in near perfect condition with only some very minor surface blemishes. The exquisite guard wears an intricately detailed backstrap which includes sakura blossoms and remains in superb original condition with all of its gorgeous bright gold wash still present. The lovely carved horn hilt also remains very healthy and with its twisted wire wrap still securely in place. The plated metal scabbard remains outstanding in its condition as well. Overall measuring 33 7/8 inches in length. Still present, is the very nice original black sword knot, portepee, tassel. If you are looking for a pristine example for your collection, this one is it! This is a very nice example of a beautiful high ranking Japanese Army Officer Dress Parade Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a lovely machine made blade that measures 33 1/4 inches in length which has survived in very nice original condition with just some minor surface blemishes. The outstanding guard wears an intricately detailed backstrap which includes sakura blossoms and frames very healthy carved horn hilt with its twisted wire wrap still tightly in place. The plated metal scabbard has some minor flaking as well as a few small tiny dings, nevertheless does remain in very good serviceable condition. Overall measuring 39 5/8 inches in length.
