Helmet was worn by my father during the last year of his pilots career. Outer shell has no cracks and is missing liner which was glued on. All snaps and clips work. Later, little brother used it as a pretend motor cycle helmet and modified it to fit his needs. I made no attempt to clean, or buff as I did not want to chance of damaging the actual surface. It was used until the introduction of the M27 steel helmet. When the Dutch Army went short of helmets in the’30’s it re-launched. This helmet has three oblong holes in the brim and an air venture in the bowl. The helmet has the original paint from production inside (outside repainted), and the liner is from early 1920’s production very rare!!! In the beginning the helmets had to be worn with the broad visor to the front! It is a highly collectable item which will undoubtedly increase in value. See also my other advertisements.
