The colour is very similar to the original. Poland developed these helmets to fit the new 1936 uniform. Nowadays they are only for sale at high prices. So may be this restored original one suits the not-so-rich, but serious collectioners. This helmet was a relic, found in a bunker in Bochum Dahlhausen, Germany. There was a FLAK position on the mountain nearby, and the German special troops had bunkers in the mountain. They holed up in the entire forest area to fight the approaching Americans in the last few days. The question is, what was a Polish helmet, what were the Poles doing in Bochum! ? Condition of the helmet is restored thouroughly, especially the rusted brim, restored by me. It is a 100% authentic found piece from the last few days in the Ruhr Kessel. The consignment was never completed. The helmets were delivered without liner and without paint. The Greek liner shows a Greek cross surmounted by a crown and the size of the helmet (53 in this case) and the words Greek Army in greek alphabet. This helmet has a very smooth and complete original liner. The finish is original. A beautiful helmet that belongs in every serious helmet collection. These were initially developped for the Czech military, but not witheld as the final choice. They were mainly exported to Spain, Ethiopia and the Netherlands!!! And saw extensive use during the Spanish civil war. Shell has no dings, cracks or holes. Two typical Austro-Hungarian vent lugs, one on each side. It has a smooth green-greyish paint. “Front” has two tiny holes punched in, to accomodate an insigna. It’s never really clear how the Spanish wore these.. Bigger visor in front, or in the back.. And depended mostly on whomever got it issued. The liner is the standard Spanish 3-pad leather one. Consisting of 3 leather parts fixed on a leather liner band, wich is rivetted to the shell. The chinstrap is some kind of replacement from the civil war… They used whatever they could lay their hands on. A great addition to any collection! Trough the European Union aswell. Original Italian PAI Fascist Era M16 Adrian Helmet Polizia dell’Africa Italiana. Referred to as the. It is a two piece construction compared to the French made Adrian of four sections. This helmet has the crest spot welded and being rivetless eliminates some of the weaknesses at different points. The color is deep-green of the Italian PAI of the 1930s. Overall in good original condition, although the liner and chin strap have been replaced the paint appears original. A PAI eagle is mounted on the front with two screws securing it. Offered for sale is an original Spanish Civil War German Luftwaffe Condor Legion M35 helmet with the original liner and chin strap. The original Luftwaffe blue paint is visible in the interior dome. All split rivets are unbuggered. The chin strap is intact. Some splits and wear are present on the leather liner. The shell is a small size 62. Rivet holes for the Spanish Eagle are present on the front of the helmet. The lot code looks to be 3086 or 3066. There are no visible markings on the chinstrap. It is 100% correct and original. This is a German manufactured helmet, not a Spanish copy. At a maximum only 14,000 were used by the German volunteers, far fewer than any “Elite” helmet.
