The medal has a split wrap brooch and is numbered on the rim with M. The rim is numbered in the right range as they go from M No. 10500 for the 2nd Nicaraguan Campaign Medal for the US Navy. Circa 1920’s Full Dress General Officer’s Visor Cap. There is very detailed bullion work around the band. Not sure who the maker is, or the size. In good condition; the sweatband is worn, stained and is missing stitching about half-way around. The bullion vein work design is largely gone, but still has a great look. This is the traditional design authorized by regulation and a copy of the design authorized by the Government when they created the “From Official Die” concept in the mid 20’s. Full length uncut military step down barrel stock from a Turkish 98 Mauser. See above for a detailed listing of condition. OAL is 45 & 1/4. Action measurement is 7 & 7/8 Center-to-Center. Tapered magazine well measures 1 & 1/16″ wide at rear, 7/8″ wide at the front. 4 & 1/8 long from the rear of the slot to the front of the mag well. The only markings that I could see on the stock are a “0” in the inset in front of the magazine well. A number “1” in the bottom of the stock in front of the inset. And a “0” on the top inset between the magazine well and the locking lug. No Cartouche stamps or markings of any kind. Only metal hardware included is the stacking hole sleeve, rear sling swivel, and the front plate shown in picture 11. Stock includes only what is shown in pictures. Nothing more, nothing less.
