Finnish Bayonet M/28 by Hackman with Hackman Black Painted Fluted Scabbard. This is a Civil Guard Bayonet for the M28 Mosin Nagant Rifle. The M/28 Bayonet was dipped in bluing thus why it has the brown line on the Ricasso. Many Hackman M28 Bayonets have this brown line line removed due to the excessive polishing. This one has not been touched. A fine example of a Finnish Civil Guard Hackman Bayonet. The civil guard inspectors mark =S= is on the opposite side of the cross guard from the Hackman Maker Mark on the Ricasso. This unusual but not unheard of. Civil Guard District 84471 is on the hilt without the S. This was common for later Civil Guard items. 03 is on the pommel.
