For sale is a Polish M31-36, LUDWIKOW Salamandra helmet World War II. The helmet was restored from a very oxidised condition and has been given a smooth anti-reflex paint. The colour is very similar to the original. Poland developed these helmets to fit the new 1936 uniform. Nowadays they are only for sale at high prices. So may be this restored original one suits the not-so-rich, but serious collectioners. This helmet was a relic, found in a bunker in Bochum Dahlhausen, Germany. There was a FLAK position on the mountain nearby, and the German special troops had bunkers in the mountain. They holed up in the entire forest area to fight the approaching Americans in the last few days. The question is, what was a Polish helmet, what were the Poles doing in Bochum! ? For sale is an absolute fine example of the Greek M34-39 steel combat helmet. This Italian made helmet was ordered by the Greek government shortly before the Italian invasion of Greece. The consignment was never completed. The helmets were delivered without liner and without paint. The Greek liner shows a Greek cross surmounted by a crown and the size of the helmet (53 in this case) and the words Greek Army in greek alphabet. This helmet has a very smooth and complete original liner. The finish is original. A beautiful helmet that belongs in every serious helmet collection. This was the second helmet developed by the Arsenal of the Artillery in Trubia. It was submitted in 1926 for examination. Spain officially adopted the model in 1930.
