Vtg US Pre-WWII Equipment Bag. Vintage US pre-WWII equipment bag that measures about 30″ x 20″ at the longest points. It is a very large duffel type bag with buckles on the back and straps that go over the top. The bag is very dirty with lots of stains and spots all over. A lot of the stains look like water stains or possibly mud stains, but it is basically covered with them. The hardware is a bit discolored and blackened and the bottom left strap is coming loose a bit at the top seams. Please look through photos to get a good idea of overall condition. One original spanish model 1893 mauser bayonet with scabbard and frog, bayonet is marked 78197 F on right tang, and ARTILLERIA NACIONAL TOLEDO on let, blade is decent, in the white, handles are decent, release works smoothly, scabbard is ding free and in the black, canvas frog is very good, bayonet fits the scabbard well, overall decent condition bayonet. WW I US ARMY Medical Cots / Stretchers 2 Red Cross Oak & Canvas Circa 1917 These medical stretchers were acquired / recovered from the basement of a nearby Catholic Church & defunct school that was built in the mid 1800’s. The 1st has a tag that reads The Telescope Cot Bed Co. & the 2nd has a brass plate which reads The Gold Medal Camp Furniture Manufacturing Co. Racine Wisconsin, contract 8/20/1917. The 2nd one does obviously have a rip in the fabric, but the fabric is complete and can be sewn back together again. There is also quite a bit of staining. One would have to assume that they are blood stains. They each have beautiful wood. One is of oak and the 2nd wood is indeterminate (at least by me). The metal appears to be a heavy gauge aluminum. The each measure 96″ long, 4″ wide and 6 thick. 21 wide when opened fully. An eclectic assortment of antique and vintage home furnishings and a range of decorative home décor and collectible items.
