This is a vintage US Army McClellan Cavalry saddle and blanket. The saddle says it is an 11 inch and the leather on the stirrups is marked “US” other then that those are the only marks I see. The wood on the stirrups is cracked and the leather skirt and stirrup straps look to have been replaced, other then that the saddle is in great condition. The blanket is blue with a gold star, it has moth damage or some type of bug damage to the material. Overall both still display great. All our items come from estate sales, yard sales, flea markets or places that we have traveled. All Japanese items come directly from Japan. I lived in Japan for 8 years and collected several nice pieces. Feedback will be left once feedback is received. If you get it dry cleaned or repaired prior to contacting me once. We are a smoke free home, but many of the items were acquired from homes that may have smoked. These are collectables that I sell to be displayed. The blanket is in heathered wool and reads Reichsmarine in a red border at both top and bottom. SIZE: Approximately 76 in length and 51 in width. CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The blanket has a few very minor moth nips and one very small spot along one edge that is missing. There are also some repairs done along the edge in red thread.
