This is a large lot of about 60 United States War Department Training Regulations manuals and supplements from the 1920s. These manuals all measure about 6 x 9 and range from single sheet to about 118 pages with most being several pages or longer. All or almost all manuals in this lot have dates from the early 1920s or mid 1930s. This lot includes the training manuals and change supplements that were issued to make changes to the original manuals with everything vintage original issued by the United States War Department during the 1920s and 1930s. WWII Serbian Army shoulder board for a pilot Lieutenant with documentation. Maybe only one pair left on market that have full documentation. Pilot Slobodan Kusic, like all other pilots in Serbian aviation was grounded by germans in first month of war. Many of the pilots were never founded. Kusic kept his photo as a prisoner, some letters and some documentation that German issued him during his stay in prison. Original, solid 10k Gold US Army Major Insignia. Engraved 1937 dedication for Field Artillery. Both are marked BB&B and 10k. Unfortunately, the color did not photograph well; yes, they are gold and look like it in person! Full size, each measuring approximately 1 1/16 high and with a combined total weight of 13.0 grams on a jeweler’s scale. Problems: Missing the separate fastening lugs. Very minor tarnish and wear. Excellent minus condition overall. These are, of course, jewelry made by Bailey Banks & Biddle and the original box is included. The box has a stain on the top and wear around the edges, good minus condition overall. One of the insignia is engraved, FROM OFFICERS 2 BN 108 FA 7-7-37. The other insignia is engraved simply, J. A few years after this time, the 108th Field Artillery, as part of the 28th Division, landed in Normandy (not on D Day) and then participated in the Battle of the Bulge. WWII, W & L E Gurley, Military, US Army, Telescope M1910A1, Spotting Scope. The very nice and rare WW2, US Army M1910 A1 artillery scope employed by the US Army as a tool to adjust artillery fire. Manufactured by W & L E Gurley of Troy, NY. The scope is solid brass, lens are clear and unscratched comes with 2 lens 10x & 15x, light shield and several additional lens. The leather storage case does show wear and is drying out. The straps and handle are not torn. At one time it had a shoulder carrying strap that has long disappeared. It weighs 35 pounds.
