Measures 41mm x 67mm including the crown suspension. The Order was established by King Milan I in 1883, was named for St. Sava, and was a civil decoration awarded for services to the Church, to the Royal House, and to the State. The Order of Saint Sava was an Order of Merit and was first awarded by the Kingdom of Serbia in 1883 and later by the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, Slovenes, and the Kingdom of Yugoslavia until the abolition of the Monarchy in 1945.
