1920’s-30’s Public Health Service Dress Coat and Cover. This is a scarcer coat with an Army style light weight gabardine service dress material. It has nice black piping and is nicely lined. There are no names or maker labels or contract labels inside. Not sure of the size, but it measures at approx size 34-36. The cover is by Wm. No size or ID inside the sweatband, it has nice black piping detail around the band. I believe it is approx. In fine condition: The coat has some spots with moth tracking. The cover has some moth tracking, light blemishing, there is wear to the leather on the chin strap and the visor, the sweatband is mostly separated. This Bailey, Banks & Biddle United States Naval Academy sweetheart ring was designed for the graduating class of 1921. This smaller version was given by graduates to their mothers or sweethearts. The tradition is that one side of the ring is engraved with the Naval Academy seal and the other side is engraved with each year’s class crest, making the rings unique to a particular graduating year. Another aspect that made the rings unique to a particular graduate was his selection of the middle stone; in this case, a sapphire surrounded by twelve diamonds. This sweetheart ring was given by the 1921 graduate, John Harding Page Hughart. John, or Jack as he was known, spent his working life as a career naval officer, serving in Honolulu once the United States entered WWII following the bombing of Pearl Harbour. Jack kept his class ring throughout his life. When he married, he presented his bride with this sweetheart ring. His bride was Linda Lee Otter, the niece of Linda Lee Porter, wife of the composer, Cole Porter. Please read the condition description, and examine the images carefully, particularly the tiny dent along the bezel. Aside from this, there is no damage to the ring other then the general wear one would expect from a ring just a little over one year short of its hundredth birthday. The ring can easily be re-sized to whomever chooses to wear it. The ring was eventually given to Jack and Linda Lee’s daughter, Lee. The reason for this is that I want it to go to a home where it will be honored and appreciated, along with the men (and now women too) who attended the academy and served their country. Sell a very rare original Sweden Motorcycle Leather Jacket, Model fm 1934, from the 1930s. The leather hood is a Swedish tank hood from the year 1961. Fm / 1954, Trial modelModel specimens: Of black goatskin. Fully lined with wool lining. Double row; the upper-clasp section designed with a full front, clasp with slider / four buttons on the right side of the front and on the right shoulder with two wooden ball buttons made of black-stained birch. The under-folded part snapped with three buttons / buttonholes on the windshield on the left side of the front. The sleeves have a knitted hem of wool yarn at the inside of the wrist. The oversized part has a knitted pocket with a lid with two buttons. The bottom of the jacket has a waistband with a closure device which in the front consists of two hooks on the right side and two semi-circular rings on the left side. In each side are two rows of four leather eyelets / laces. Stand Collar; left part designed as tie with hook, Right part with strap made of cotton and square ring for collar closure and a pour of leather. Hangers made of leather fastened to the inside of the collar seam. At the elbows pillow made of foam plastic, knit in lining. Foam shoulder pads stuck to the lining. 1931 US Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal group: named and engraved USCG GCM, Victory Medal, New Britain CT WWI service medals and a VFW convention medal. Stanley had prior service in the Navy during WWI. He served as a pharmacist’s mate in the Coast Guard aboard the New London CG Base.
